Description/Job Summary

The Commercial Controller will protect Signode’s assets/manage risk.


  • Jointly sets LRP and Ap Strategy with the business leader
  • Demonstrates solid understanding and ensures compliance with accounting/company policies and procedures
  • Manages policies and processes effectively to ensure accuracy of the financial data
  • Handles more complex financial analyses, maintains financials/records
  • Guides business managers on commercial issues/ decisions
  • Mentors others in the business to understand how their choices and decisions will impact the financials
  • Communicates and trains other on key business drivers
  • Decisions are guided by policies, processes and business plans
  • Larger or multi-unit business with added complexity (multi-channel/product, remote locations)
  • Span of locations (domestic or regional)

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Certified Public Accountant

Required Experience

  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong relational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong focus on teamwork and a high level of professional ethical standards
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate diplomacy and tact while interacting with all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Training and presentation skills a plus
  • Project Management and Change Management skills, preferred
  • Strong computer skills with especially strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
