Description/Job Summary


The successful candidate must have a “safety-first” mindset, be a self-motivated partner supporting production operations, be committed to producing quality products and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Primary responsibilities include assisting the maintenance manager in the daily administrative task that need to be done in the maintenance area. The task includes but are not limited to ordering parts, arranging for parts to be repaired, and restocking parts. The candidate will be required to assist in the environmental and preventative maintenance scheduling to help maintain the equipment in the best possible condition and to adhere to all environmental and safety regulations. Primary duties and responsibilities:

Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) Support

  • The position will be responsible for the procurement of all MRO parts needed to sustain the plant operations.

  • This position will be responsible for re-stocking the parts into inventory which includes the vending machine.

  • Occasionally you will be required to pick up parts from local vendors within a 45-mile radius of the Latta, SC location.

  • This position will be responsible for tracking the order status of all parts ordered.

  • This position will be responsible for sending out repairs that are needed.

  • This position will be responsible for follow up on all repairs being done.

    Preventative Maintenance

  • This position will assist in the scheduling of preventive maintenance task using the FastMaint software.

  • This position will assist in evaluating the completion of life critical inspections assigned by the PM software.

    Environmental Support

  • This position will assist in the storm water monitoring requirements from DHEC.

  • This position will assist in the annual back flow preventor testing requirements.

  • This position will track the monthly generator run times and report semi-annually to DHEC under the Major Air Permit requirements.


  • This position will assist in the gathering of information such as the utility bills for tracking purposes and put this information into spread sheets.

  • This position will assist in gathering the cost for repairs done.

  • This position will assist in the annual training for the environmental programs.

  • This position will assist in the monthly training for the maintenance department.

  • This position will assist in the tracking of monthly hazardous identification submissions by the maintenance department.

    Other roles/duties may be assigned as necessary to assist the Company in the attainment of its goals and objectives.

    Position Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in the use of Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Previous ISO experience preferred.

  • CMMS System (Computer Maintenance Management System) knowledge.

  • Previous maintenance planner experience is preferred.

  • Previous purchasing experience is preferred.

  • Plans in a way that minimizes overall plant cost and at the same time maintaining relationships with both clients and plant leadership and employees.


  • Minimum three years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment, plastics background preferred.

  • Solid computer skills with ability to input/export information into a CMMS.

  • Experience in a plastic extrusion a plus.

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

  • Previous maintenance planner experience is preferred.


  • High School diploma or equivalent. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations

  • Forklift certification is a plus
