Description/Job Summary

Manager Credit and Collection would lead Credit and Collection team of 5+ as well as develop the 'playbook' (collection and escalation procedures and process) ensuring the team's success

We offer a competitive salary with a range of $70,000-$86,000 based on experience and skill set. This position is eligible to participate in Signode's annual bonus program with a target of 10% of base salary. A variety of benefits are also available, including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, as well as Signode’s 401(k) program.


Set objectives for the collections team that align with the accounting department's goals and ensure team goals are met Design and implement new processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Develop trainings and SOP regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit limits lines, and collections Oversee the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts Manage bad debt expense forecasting and assessment process Maintain loan records, conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts Report out daily analysis of outstanding receivables, including significantly past due accounts, with finance, accounting, and sales leadership Prepare documentation and/or analysis to support external audit requests Ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Skills

Minimum of 10 years related Credit and Collection experience, including 5 years’ experience managing the credit & collections process at a public company Team training or team managing experience preferred Strong excel skills Knowledge of multiple complex ERP is a plusStrong ability to train and lead the team required, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated and self-managed - able to think independently, creatively, and opportunistically Get-it-done mindset - able to handle diverse workload and multiple deadlines well Balance between attention to detail and swift execution Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated understanding of accounting cycles. Ability to adapt to changing work environments Flexible team player with ability to prioritize urgent requests and effectively resolve conflicts/disputes with internal and external stakeholders
