Primary Purpose:

Unload raw materials and roll stock from incoming trucks and maintain proper records concerning these materials.




Responsibilities/Duties

Job Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming materials and verify corresponding paperwork
  • Distribute materials to appropriate areas
  • Accept, unload, and verify shipments
  • Document items in shipment by recording identifying information
  • Maintain receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipate needed materials
  • Ensure complete and undamaged shipment
  • File claims and follow-up on incomplete/damaged shipments
  • Maintain relationships with shipping carriers, and equipment/supply vendors
  • Relay receivers, packing slips and fulfillment details to accounting
  • Receive and send mail and small packages
  • Collect, audit and track internal paperwork relating to receiving and inventory
  • Enter received/inventory items into database for record keeping
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control of materials to meet stated objectives
  • Take monthly inventory and cycle counts of materials



Required Skills

  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to adapt to demanding schedule changes with a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs on an infrequent basis
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck
  • Knowledge of inventory procedures and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math skills including, but not limited to: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division
  • Ability to recommend ideas of process, quality, product, or work condition improvements
  • Other duties as assigned.



Required Experience

  • 5 years of warehouse experience
  • Forklift Certified
  • Computer/ Excel Skills a must.
