SUMMARY 


The Purchasing Coordinator is an entry level role that will organize and execute the inbound Direct Deliveries and Purchase Orders activities for both domestic and international shipments from our Suppliers and Vendors. The coordinator will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and processing the shippers and receivers in our ERP system. He/She will be responsible for ensuring inbound/outbound shipments are processed in accordance with customer expectations and reporting/intervening.

Essential Functions: 


A successful employee will coordinate all shipping requirements to place product at delivery point in accordance with the terms and conditions of the prevailing sales agreement. 

 

  • Preparing of customs documentation to ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate outbound customer shipments. 

  • Provide direct assistance to internal and external sales on Suppliers related topics. 

  • Perform inbound Purchase Orders processing activities in our ERP system. 

  • Address and resolve with Suppliers any discrepancies in reporting and documentation. 

  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. 

  • Partner with Suppliers and Finance to prevent service disruptions. 

  • Work with Suppliers to address operational and on time performance issues. 

  • Support the Buyers through ad-hoc queries, maintenance of data and reports from a variety of resources, and order expedition. 

  • Responsible for Suppliers Purchase Orders organization, reconciliation, and processing. 

  • Proactively develop, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with the Commercial, Financial, and Operational teams to achieve target service level. 


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 


Education: 

High School Diploma/GED Required. Course work at Associate level or above preferred. 


Experience: 

  • 1-2 years of related experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain 


Interpersonal, Communications and Influencing skills 

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to work with a team and independently. 

  • Critical, strategic, and analytical thinker with ability to translate data into logical solutions. 


Computer Skills 

  • Proficiency in MS Suite products (specifically Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 

  • Knowledge to analyze large and multi-dimensional data sets. 

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems, specifically Microsoft AX is a plus.
