Description/Job Summary

Assist with development of Computer Aided Quality Assurance System. Assist with the development of Process Control Requirements, SOP’s, Process maps and training materials for publication on SharePoint Intranet site. Assist with the development and management of various Quality Systems Applications such as Engineering Standards for Manufacturing, Supplier Quality Assurance, Smartline, Quality Assurance System, etc.



Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Assist with the development of Computer Aided Quality System (Will Provide Training)
  • Development and programming of Quality Monitor Workstation files
  • Interfacing of gauges
  • Interfacing with SQL Database
  • Quality Assurance System Website Configuration

2. Assist with rewriting/typing of Process Control Requirements and S.O.P’s

  • Update the Process Control Manuals for Strapping, Stretch Wrap, and E&T
  • Assist with the completion of Process and Value Stream Maps

3. Assist with development & management of future quality system implementations

  • Assist with data gathering and reporting
  • Assist with the writing and updating of ESM’s
  • Support application users for QAS, ESM, SQA, Smartline, SharePoint, etc.



Required Skills

This is a highly interactive position. Candidate must be able to effectively work with Plant personnel on an individual and team format. Good personal interactive skills are essential. The candidate should have the ability to interface with corporate engineering and plant personnel on matters concerning operations and quality. They should also have the ability to apply critical thinking & problem solving skills to various situations regarding manufacturing processes, application development & engineering standards.



Preferred Experience

Supervision Exercised:

Minimal: Indirect supervision of plant personnel as working on project related teams with the incumbent mostly the focus would be on capturing knowledge and input from operators during the programming workstation input screens.

Confidential Data:

 Access to all technical data/specifications used in manufacturing. Machine engineering designs, tooling specifications, capacity information and manufacturing process capability.

Impact of Errors:

Major: Errors in incorrect programming of workstation and database could lead to erroneous data input gross negligence could cause decreased quality, increased spoilage, and possible loss of business.



Required Education

Entry Level: Completed Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.)



Required Qualifications

  • Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Data Base, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Knowledge of CI/Lean/Six Sigma philosophy
  • Knowledge of basic programming & computer configuration
  • Statistical Software (JMP, Minitab NWA Software Suite)would be plus but not a requirement
