SERVICE TECHNICIAN,

$2,000.00 Sign on Bonus

Location:

  • Up to $25 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service or product assembly preferred. Additional training will be required to keep up with new products, procedures, recalls, etc. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information.  Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions that aid in identification of product solutions. Ability to apply general math skills to a variety of business needs. Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Travel required.
  • Normal physical demands of a factory environment. Normal factory environment, which        includes moderate noise, little dust and fumes.
  • High school diploma or GED; Degree or technical certificate in related field preferred


Computer skills:

Must be computer literate.  Knowledgeable of word processing, spreadsheet, and databases helpful.

Summary:

The Service Tech II provides customer assistance to distributors and end-users on all Loveshaw and Little David product lines.  This position requires the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, and the ability to maintain good relations with company personnel while working under pressure.  The incumbent must demonstrate flexibility in assisting all areas of the Aftermarket Department as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoots and responds to technical questions from distributors and end-users regarding products, part numbers, etc., via telephone, e-mail, or fax.
  • Provides customer support regarding warranty issues and troubleshooting- customer issues
  • Issues and completes necessary forms for credits and returns; logs information, distributes copies of paperwork to accounting, customer file, and any other departments involved.
  • Assists in the processing of any emergency or special shipments.
  • Maintains customer files containing complete documentation of any transactions.
  • Analyzes and prepares reports on warrantee issues, credits, and returns.
  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) use with equipment line
  • Conducts in-house customer, sale and technical training when required.
  • Advises the factory manager and departments of technical issues in timely fashion.
  • Ability to respond to calls with tact and diplomacy.
  • Observes established safety requirements, standards, and recommendations.
  • Maintains a safe, neat, clean, and orderly workstation.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Provides backup for the customer service area as needed.
  • Provides assistance in the AF crib area as needed.
  • Maintains good company image and customer relations when dealing with internal and external contacts.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned from time to time.
