Signode Industrial Group has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to train to become a Slitter Operator. This position is in our Florence, KY facility on night shift. The successful candidate must have a "safety-first" mindset, be a self-motivated partner supporting his/her co-workers throughout the operation, be committed to producing quality products and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Operate extruders and annealers in order to produce PET sheet that will be slit into fininshed coils
• Set up and run PET lines producing numerous different products based on scheduled orders
• Responsible for ensuring material specifications are met
• Keeping material systems full and functional
• Calibrating mixing bins correctly for daily product
• Performing simple preventative maintenance
• Chopping regrind
• Operator will become familiar with may different types of machinery (dies, screen changers, mills, bridles) as well as crane operation

Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Fork truck license required- on the job training provided as well
• Any experience with plastics and or extrusion is highly desirable
• Must be motivated and willing to learn
